Crystal Reports
What good is a system unless you can get the information you need in a manner that assists you in making intelligent
business decisions?
Reports play a vital role in any accounting system. However, reports are only effective if they meet the information
need in a clear and concise way with accurate information.
It is important that reports have a clear purpose and objective, otherwise they are useless and may even be detrimental
by causing communication confusion.
This is where ISM can help. We have consultants that can assist you in getting past the complexity of reporting and take
advantage of the flexibility Crystal Reports provides.
We can help you design Crystal forms (AR Statement example to right) or Crystal Reports to display and print data from
MAS 90, MAS 200, MAS 500, MS SQL Server or most any other database. We can help, just let us know how.
SQL Programming
At the core of most of our products (MAS 500, Warehouse Automation, eStylez, Crystal
Reports) you will find MS SQL Server. We have years of experience in SQL programming (queries, stored procedures, triggers,
DTS, views, scripts, data normalization, etc.) in SQL.
SQL Server is at the core of our eStylez high-performance searching capability. We use SQL Server for MAS 90 & MAS 200
in conjunction with Crystal Reports to speed up printing. Be sure to check out our case study (side bar).
Some our our products such as PUMA & WMS are built entirely on SQL Server. Since MAS
500 is based on SQL Server we use it extensively for expanding the functionality
of the product.

VBScript
With the release of version 3.71 for MAS 90 & MAS 200 the ability to run
Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) scripts was incorporated. ISM is on the leading edge in developing
scripts to interact with and extend the system.
We have created scripts to calculate formulas, run SQL queries to get data from other tables that are not exposed in Custom
Office and other tricks that were previously not possible prior to the release of MAS version 3.71.
For our client Alternative Technology we created multiple scripts that copy
values from standard fields in Sales Orders and write them to UDFs depending
on the value of other UDFs. We also wrote scripts to pull values from Sales Orders
and to update fields in Purchase Orders using SQL & VBScript.
We also use VBScript and VB.NET applications to run imports & exports such as Positive Pay and 401K data. We'll even to
work with third-party products to get information into or out of MAS.
